Forthcoming Events

As Spring begins to end, we prepare for the Summer term! Below is a list of all the lovely residential trips that we shall be going on to support our learning and development.

The purpose of these trips is to enhance the learning provision taking place in nursery and reception.

 

EVENT DATE AND TIME PURPOSE
Mother’s Day assembly 20th March in our school hall at 9:00. Since its mothering Sunday on the 22nd, the reception children would like to invite you to their class assembly.
School Disco 21st March in our school hall. It’s that time of year again where we roll out the red carpet, fill the cups with juice and water and dance the morning away to rock and roll music. Show us what you got!
Percy’s Park- visit to Ashridge House 23rd March with Y1 and Y2 The reception children will join Y1 and Y2 to visit Percy the park keeper. We are super excited!
Clean air assembly 27th March in the school hall at 9.00 A member of the Brent civic centre shall be visiting us to share the results from our little experiment that we did several weeks ago regarding the quality of air in different parts of our school.
St Augustines Church 21st April at 1.30 As we celebrated Easter during the holidays, we shall take a walk down to St Augustine’s church where we shall learn more about this very special occasion. We shall be shown around the church, look at stain glass windows which tell a story of how the church was built and explore artefacts.
Science day 27th April- all-day Today is the day we all become mini scientists! For the day, we work with children across the year groups to experiment with ideas, tools and materials.
Firefighters visit 7th May at 2pm The firefighters will be visiting our school to talk about their roles and responsibilities. We can’t wait to see them!
Wembley Park station 15th May at 9:00 The nursery preschool children shall be walking to the train station to explore the ticket offices, platforms, trains and signals.
Trip to the library 19th May at 11.00 The children in the nursery shall be walking to the library to take part in a storytelling session. They shall also join in with a nursery rhyme session. The nursery rhymes relate to the theme for the summer term; nursery rhymes.
Ealing road temple 5th June at 9.30 We are off to the temple! In R.E, we will be learning about a very special boy called Prahlad, who was a special devotee. We shall listen to his story and through this, we will know more about why the festival of Holi is celebrated with colour all over the world. We can’t wait to go and see all the idols of the various gods and goddesses in the temple and how they are made!
Teddy bears picnic 16th June at 9.30 Nursery and reception will walk to the London designer outlet park and sit to have morning snack with their teddy bears! The children will then be given some time to explore the park.
Sports day 25th June (nursery in the school playground) at 9.00 We shall be inviting all of our parents to watch us take part in various sports day activities.
Ealing road Mosque 26th June at 9.30 Nursery and reception shall be travelling by public transport to the Mosque as we shall be learning about Ramadan in our R.E lessons.
Nursery Graduation ceremony 1st July in the school hall at 10.00 It will be that time of year again where we see a few of our preschool graduate. They shall be wearing the most amazing graduation gowns and be handed a scroll of academic achievement. Theatre bugs (an external company) shall also be involved on this day to support the class assembly.
