World Space Week
Did you know that this week, it’s a time to celebrate all things Space related? Well children in Nursery and Reception have been busy exploring our Space station role play area. They have had lots of fun pretending to be famous astronauts and taking their space rocket into space to explore the galaxy!
The children also learnt about the names of the planets in our solar system and looked closely at the similarities and differences between the planets. Nursery had a go at choosing their favourite planet to draw, colour and label. Well done children for using your knowledge of letters and sounds to label!
The Reception children decided to use 2D shapes to create their own space rocket. They worked hard to trace around the shapes, colour and label them.
For story time, we listened to a story about a special alien called Beegu, who landed in our planet and looked rather worried. We were happy to know that he made friends and went back to his home safely.
