Why do schools celebrate the World of books?

World book day is a national charity that is funded by publishes and those who sell books in the UK and Ireland. Their goal is to give every child a book to own. It’s also a celebration of authors, illustrators and most importantly the celebration of reading.

We here at St Christophers also took part in this celebration by coming into school dressed up as a book character. We had plenty of fairy tale princesses….. Miss B came to school dressed up as Snow White! She looked so beautiful!

Along with Disney princesses, we also had handsome avengers, superheroes and of course, we can’t forget the paw patrol crew!

We had so much fun playing dress-up today. We can’t wait until next year!
