Guess what? We had a go at making our very own gingerbread house! We had a go at creating our own winter wonderland by following Mary Berry’s gingerbread recipe to make a house. We made sure that we followed her recipe very carefully and took it in turns to mix all the ingredients.

We then rolled out the dough and put the templates of the house on top to cut around. Miss B then took the pieces home to bake. Once the pieces were baked, they were brought back into school and assembled. It was very tricky to stick all the pieces together… it broke 6 times! But we didn’t give up. We carried on and finally, all the pieces managed to stay put! We used the icing sugar bags to support all the side pieces. Doesn’t it look amazing! Now, all we have to do is wait for the house to dry… then the decorations begin!
