In the nursery, we had a look at how Halloween is celebrated all over the world, in particular America and London. Did you know that Halloween is an annual holiday that is celebrated each year on October 31st? It originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. This is when people would light great big bonfires and wear scary costumes to frighten away any ghosts!

Well, we didn’t see any ghosts when we were celebrating and learning about Halloween! We were too busy carving our pumpkins and learning how to make pumpkin soup!

We also had a go at making creepy looking spiders out of paper and pipe cleaners and the spider’s webs out of string.

We had lots of fun learning about Halloween. We can’t wait until next year!
